The Naked Post is an independent, feminist viewpoint, news & lifestyle site – dedicated to raising the voices and perspectives of consensual adult sex workers for the world to hear.

Velvet Steele
I’m cheeky, I’m fun, I’m sassy! I’m Velvet Steele a Domina with over 30 years experience as a fetish service provider. Carmen Shakti
Carmen Shakti is a Metro Vancouver-based writer, visual and performance artist, sensual massage practitioner, courtesan, Authentic Tantra practitioner and Certified Sexologist. She was one of the writers and performers in the 2016 theatre production of The Hooker Monologues, a groundbreaking theatrical production that explored the stories of sex workers. She was a media spokesperson for the production and came out as a sex worker on CBC’s The National during that time. She has served on the board of PACE Society, a Not-for-profit society that provides support services and advocacy for sex workers. She has spoken with government officials about the need to decriminalize sex work transactions between consenting adults and has guest lectured in college classrooms on sex worker’s rights.
Shirley Fabulous
Shirley started her career in sex work at age 38, a plus sized, nearly middle-aged mother of two.
Eventually, Ms. Fabulous began her career as an independent escort, where she discovered confidence and strength she had never known before. This industry gave her an accelerated course in personal growth. Recently, after several years as a pleasure professional, Shirley retired from the industry, happy, healthy and ready to take on her next chapter with gusto.
It is her absolute pleasure to share thoughts, stories and advice from her vantage point at this time in her life. She hopes her words are entertaining, helpful, and are accepted with kindness.

Editor-in-Chief
Siren has worked in the sex industry in several capacities over the past 20 years, spending the majority of her career in adult film (behind the scenes and in front of the camera) and escort work.
In the early 2000s, Siren helped create and manage the Vancouver Porn Forum to help local performers find work with reputable companies, worked with MaskTV to produce an AVN Award winning title, pushed for (and got!) higher wages and better working conditions for local adult film performers, and became a strong advocate for safer sex practices on set.
In the 20teens, Siren switched to escort work to help pay her way through university, graduating at the top of her class with a BComm degree from UBC. She has launched several successful small businesses, hosted a couple of independent radio shows, and now is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Naked Post.
As Naked Post’s Editor-in-Chief, Siren aims to elevate the voices of sex workers and add our meaningful perspectives to the daily conversations being had around the world about sex work. Siren likes to garden, swim, sing, cook, watch nature documentaries… and have lots of orgasms!
